How much does it cost to build a new custom home?
The cost of building a new custom home will depend on a few factors. The first being; how big of a home is the client looking to build, and depending on the size, what are the client’s actual wants or needs? The next factor is, what materials will the client be using for the custom home build and will these include the use of green products? And finally, a majority of the cost will depend on the lot the client eventually chooses to build on. If the lot is going to be difficult to develop, then there is a high chance, the custom home production will be higher. However, our custom homes range from $300,000 to over $3,000,000.
How long will it take to build my custom home?
Similar to the cost of the home, the construction and completion of your custom home will largely depend on the size of the house you decide to build, the materials you intend to use, and the time that will be used to develop your lot. The time of the year might also affect the progress of your custom home as well as the time you take to make your selection. In general, once the contract has been signed, the average time we will take to modify the plan to be ready to submit for approval is 3 weeks. The permit approval typically takes 6 weeks and upon approval we will start within 7 to 10 business days. On average, a 4000 to 4500 sq. ft. home will take about 7 months to build.
Are there specific locations where you build custom homes?
Although we have neighborhoods in Polk and Hillsborough counties, we are not tied to in any particular areas. We can build custom houses throughout Florida including cities like Winder mere and Winter Park, and we will happily go beyond these areas if that is what the client desires.
What kinds of custom houses can you build?
To put it simply, if you can imagine it, we can build it. We have built all kinds of custom homes, ranging in size. We also have experience with various styles including contemporary, traditional Mediterranean stile homes. In the end, it all depends on what kind of custom house you desire.
How much of the project will Hulbert Homes oversee?
